On the evening of October 21, the Asian American Journalists Association’s Tokyo subchapter held its second gathering of the year. About 30 journalists, media professionals, students, and professors from various affiliations had a good time at Bloomberg’s Tokyo office.

Participants enjoyed a talk session and conversation with our honorary member Jake Adelstein. Jake is a Tokyo-based journalist and author of ‘Tokyo Vice,’ which was recently adapted into an HBO drama series. Read more about Jake here and ‘Tokyo Vice’ here.

AAJA-Tokyo also announced the launch of a mini-board. Members of the mini-board will plan and organize community events and promote our values together. If you are interested in joining the mini-board, please contact Kantaro Komiya and Erica Yokoyama, Tokyo vice presidents, by e-mail (tokyo@aaja.org).
