Ambassador Gary Locke to meet with AAJA Beijing

U.S. Ambassador Honorable Gary Locke and Mrs. Mona Locke will join AAJA members in Beijing for  cocktails on Tuesday, April 10, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Beijing Capital Club.

This members-only event serves as an official welcome from AAJA-Asia for the Lockes, who arrived in Beijing about six months ago. Locke, the first Asian American to serve as U.S. ambassador to China, and his wife, Mona, are long-time friends of AAJA. Mona was a founding member of the Seattle Chapter of AAJA in 1985 and was a long-term active member of the chapter.
