After a very extensive review process, the board and judging committee of AAJA-Asia have decided to award a $500 stipend to China’s Wendy Tang (Technology Writer) and Thailand’s Mike Raomanachai (News Anchor/Correspondent, Voice TV) for the annual AAJA Asia Chapter Conference (2016 AAJA N3CON in Seoul, South Korea). They have been recognized for their hard work and contributions to the chapter, their potential as news journalists and their personal attributes as leaders. We hope that in helping to defray some costs of attending this conference, the stipend will go a long way in their career development and future contributions to the chapter and the organisation.
We would also like to acknowledge our runner up, Lauren Hardie (former Seoul member and current Florida member) who will be flying from the United States to attend our conference. She will receive complimentary tickets to the Gala Dinner on Saturday night and Ron Brown’s full-day leadership training session on Sunday. We also hope that this support allows her to continue to benefit from AAJA’s programs and networks.
Please help us acknowledge their accomplishments and we hope to see you awarded for your potential and contributions to AAJA in the near future!
