Call for Applications for the AAJA-Asia Training Network

AAJA-Asia and the Google News Initiative (GNI) have teamed up to provide free training and outreach to journalists in Asia looking to improve their reporting skills and employ the latest digital tools in their newsgathering, fact-checking, reporting, and storytelling.

Since 2019, the AAJA-Asia Training Network has trained 4,000+ journalists and students in journalism all over Asia. The Network currently comprises over 30 certified trainers who can train in English and 17 Asian languages.

AAJA-Asia is looking to add new trainers to its network. Here’s an opportunity for you become a certified digital tools trainer and help elevate the skills of journalists across the region!

Participants selected to take part in the program will have the opportunity to attend an exclusive series of online train-the-trainers sessions that will certify them to lead workshops on online tools (including Google tools) for reporting, fact-checking and verifying sources.

If you are a journalist, editor or active freelancer currently working in Asia, do not miss this opportunity to acquire new skills, expand your network and give back to the community!
