Learn how to translate numbers into stories.

We deal with a sea of data – from government budget stories, corporate earnings reports, election results and SMS updates. As journalists, we can use this data and shape them into compelling news stories.

Attendees will walk away with some real ideas on how to find simple data-driven stories through tips on how to gather and analyze them.

This will be a casual workshop over coffee for seasoned journalists as well as those just getting their feet wet.

Special guest: Bloomberg News editor Pavel Alpeyev based in Tokyo

Event doubles as a holiday food drive for a non-profit Second Harvest Japan. Bring your extra pantry items for donation.
