Digital Tools, Fact-checking and Source Verification workshops for Journalists (Thailand)

AAJA-Asia and the Google News Initiative (GNI) have teamed up to provide free training and outreach to journalists in Asia looking to improve their reporting skills and employ the latest digital tools in their news gathering, fact-checking, reporting and storytelling.

This session will present an overview of the latest, free online tools and workflows that journalists can use for finding, visualizing and telling news stories. The workshop will focus on how to search for and monitor news stories trends online and on how to use geo-localization and visualization tools to improve storytelling. Fact-checking and source verification

This session will present a fast-paced overview of the most up-to-date issues and practices in online verification. It will also look at the free Google tools, and the best alternatives, used by fact-checkers worldwide to check stories and debunk hoaxes. It will cover the following topics:
