Founded in 1996 in Hong Kong, the Asia Chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA-Asia) has grown well beyond its initial strongholds in Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo. Today, it stands as a leading network for journalists in the Asia-Pacific region comprising over 200 members and reaching out monthly to an extended community of over 5,000 news professionals and journalism students from all backgrounds across the region.
This discounted membership program, tailored to local economic conditions, has been approved as a pilot initiative for an initial two-year period. To be eligible, you must reside in one of the following countries: Malaysia, Thailand, Mongolia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Bangladesh, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan, or Nepal.
